Robin

Erithacus rubecula

Description:

I spotted this lovely little European Robin in our garden today, my first sighting for this Autumn. It was only when I was looking up the Robin for the scientific name, that I discovered that there is no colour difference between the male and females, which is quite unusual in birds.

Habitat:

Robins seem to love hopping around gardens especially if you are working out in the garden and will often hop onto a spade or fork that you may have left stuck in the ground.
