Moth mimicking a Lycid Beetle

Description:

This moth is orange and black and flies in the daytime. It is a remarkable mimic of a net-winged beetle of the Family Lycidae. It even moves like a beetle when on a leaf.

Habitat:

Empty lot in semi-urban area on the outskirts of San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico at 2,200 meters.
