Description:

The only aquatic dwelling pit vipers in North America, these snakes are distinctly patterned with brown stripes as juveniles. however they soon darken with age. These snakes are commonly said to be aggressive and there are many stories of them "chasing" people, however in actuality they are very calm, mild mannered snakes who when confronted, want nothing more than to escape.
