Jumping Spider

Description:

Was a small grey spider wandering around my house. he is photographed on a small plastic card box ... overall i would say smaller then a thumbnail. only got these two pics, after the flash went off the first time he decided that my phone was not as interesting as he once thought.

thanks! i would say that is what it is for sure ... was about half the size of the one you photographed.

That helps freddy.lea! This reminds me a lot of Platycryptus undatus, probably male.

Does it look close? If you look at the Bugguide page you will see some of them have more banding on the legs, like yours.

This is a very cute Jumping Spider!
Do you have any more pictures with different angles of this little guy? It is much easier to try to ID these guys when you have pictures of the whole body, especially the dorsal side (back), since they often have markings that can distinguish them.
