Description:

The Peacock has a wingspan of about 6 cm. Wings are rusty red, with a distinctive, black-blue-yellow eyespot.

Habitat:

Common European species, can be seen in many diverse habitats. Here, edges of our beautiful Bagasse forest (deciduous, predominantly oak, forest - photo 5) on France-Switzerland border, in a valley of lake Geneva, subalpine, just in between Jura and Alps mountains ranges.
