Texas Brown Snake

Description:

The Texas Brown Snake is a non-venomous snake that feeds primarily on slugs and earthworms. It is usually light brown/tan, with a darker brown head. This one is a young snake, only about an inch long.

Habitat:

This one was found on the sidewalk, but it is usually found in moist woodlands in logs or bark in the wild.
