Cossid Moth - 12 - ♀

Description:

This Cossid moth was about 20 mm long ( wing span about 40 mm). Wings showed mottled grey and white pattern, with a pair of white patches near the inner margins. The usual inverted "V" shape on the thorax was not dark as in some other cossid moths but was made of dense grey setae which were curled over in a "V" shaped ridge.

Spotted near a national park
