Sinea spinipes
Mottled brown insect with spiny front legs and head. Bright red dorsal abdomen under the wings that was seen when the insect flew. Mildly shield shaped with a long head and proboscis.
Forested campground in Cedar Point County Park, NY.
Best pictures I could get from this bug. Not very cooperative but really interesting.
