Fragrant Orchid

Description:

This terrestrial orchid is a perennial herbaceous plant, belonging to Orchidaceae family. When in flower, it can grow up to 50-60 cm tall, and produces cylindrical spikes 5 to 20 cm long. The inflorescence is composed of small rose flowers, neatly and visibly arranged in a spiral around the central axe (Pic N° 3). Flowers are gently scented.

Habitat:

Observed on edges of mixed forest on slopes of Jura range.
