Cassytha melantha
A leafless green parasitic vine which flourishes in the canopies of trees, choking them of sunlight and eventually destroying the host tree. Develops green berries in spring 10-15 mm diameter which dry to black. Apparently these are edible (?!!).
Grows within the canopies of trees or shrubs across most of southern Australia.
