Quercus coccifera
Prickly shrub 1.5m high with leaves like holly, copious tiny flowers on weeping racemes. Lots of fresh, shiny, coppery coloured leaves at this time of year.
Very common on undisturbed limestone slopes, from 20m elevation up to maybe 500m?
Often heavily grazed by goats, when it can form a dense rounded low form, but left ungrazed can turn into an attractive tree.
