Chelinidae tabulata
About 12mm in length. Brown in colour, with a white line running down the middle of the head, thorax, and fore wings; wing venation with same lines and some darker patches. Very well camouflaged against the prickly pear.
Found on prickly pear in semi-arid region, after 1st strong rains of the rainy season.
This species was introduced to Australia as a biological control agent against the also introduced prickly pear.
