Red-Winged Blackbird (Female)

Description:

7-9 1/2 inches. The female Red-winged Blackbird is heavily streaked with dusky brown. We had had a huge flock of them for a few months. Females appear much more shy than the males.

Habitat:

Marshes, swamps, wet and dry meadows and pastures.
