Physcia sp.
This foliose lichen appears in forms of round or elliptical rosettes (pic N° 4), very light-grey in colour, and about 5 to 12 cm across. When mature, the apothecia are about 2-3 mm across; peripheral lobes roughly the same size. The thalle is not pruinose, but the discs in apothecia are.
Found on a dead and decaying branch discarded next to a pathway through the mixed forest (oak, beech, spruce and fir). This forest is on lower slopes of Jura mountain range, and at outskirts of a larger settlement (Gex) in Geneva lake valley.
