Rolled-Leaf Spider

Poltys sp

Description:

Quite a large sized Spider with a distinctive long tail. Body is mostly brown in colour with patches of yellow on the abdomen and black spots/bands on the legs. This one was seen along a wide trail and was busy constructing a huge web, at least 1 meter wide. It is not only the width of the Web that is impressive, but as can be seen in Pics #2 & #3, the webbings are orderly weaved, spaced at less than 1 cm gap, that means, this whole webbing could be hundreds of meters length!

Habitat:

Tropical forest

Ha ha ha!
I hope you can go there to find it, it should still be there.
Maybe you will get to post it before me! :D

By the way, I have realised I have now a collection of Traffic Light Poltys - Green, Yellow and Red :)
