Acraea horta
Spot the Acraea horta emerging from its pupa. It has a typical wingspan of 45-50 mm for males and 49-53 mm for females. Adults are on wing year round, but are more common from October to April.

Beautiful butterfly and picture Smith´s zoo! Will not get much food from those twigs though...
