Oh definitely worth going! We spent an afternoon at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge in Dec 09 and as the sun set hundreds of cranes flew over our heads and landed in the lake behind us - it was magical to watch. Wish I'd had more time there.

Oh beautiful! I live in Colorado and there have been sightings of them in in Southern CO. I'm half tempted to drive down to see if they are there, but I guess it's better to wait till Spring here in CO! Beautiful spotting! Very jealous!
