Description:

The golden orb weavers are one of the largest spiders. Their webs can be found hanging off sign posts, in or between trees.The females can measure up to 45 mm while the smaller males measure only 6 mm. It can be found in Japan, China, Vietnam, Taiwan, Singapore, Myanmar, Indonesia, Thailand, Laos, Philippines, Sri Lanka, India, Papua New Guinea, and Northern Australia. It is commonly found in primary and secondary forests and gardens. It is one of the biggest spiders in the world.
