Gymnopilus Mushroom

Gymnopilus sp.

Description:

Golden yellow mushroom with an orange tint, especially on the gills. It was 6-7cm tall.

Habitat:

Growing on decomposing wood in a mixed forest.

Notes:

It is difficult to identify Gymnopilus to species level. Species in this genus can easily be confused with Galerina marginata, which are deadly. Also, some species contain psilocybin.
