Description:

It is distinguished by being smaller average size between 3 to 3.5 m and the pups at birth between 25 and 30 cm . The head is flat and broad, relatively short snout and rather rounded at the tip. Its length is 1.5 to 1.7 times the basal width. Tecodonto teeth type 5 premaxillary teeth , jaws 13 or 14 and 15 mandibular suture interpremaxilar considerably shorter than the width of the premaxillary added . Some mature individuals have a pair of transverse ridges in the eyes that join the dorsal half of the upper jaw . Habitat:
