Description:

Approx 9cm, female on nest

Habitat:

Nesting in garden at forest edge. Other nests have been spotted closer to waterways. Approx 2m off the ground in a lemon tree. The nest is thickly lined with the material that encloses the seeds of the Balsa tree (Ochroma pyramidalis). The outer of the nest is heavily lined with lichen.

50% success rate for hatching not bad - new baby photos added. Remarkably short 9-day incubation.
