Green headed bug is one of the species that produce crusty tubes on tips of branches and curious spittle on shrubs in summer.

There's a lot of them around at the moment Argy Bee. There's two colors including the lighter one I saw yesterday. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/156...Not sure if thes are the same species but I do know that the males are 'all blacks'.
So that's what they look like... quite cute.
