lynx spider

oxyopes sp.

Description:

Lynx spiders, in spite of being largely ambush hunters, are very speedy runners and leapers, alert and with good vision. They tend not to be very aggressive towards other members of their own species, and sometimes meet casually in small groups (i found several in one plant).

Habitat:

constructing its spider-web at the edge of irrigation

This spider is beautiful! I simply love the second picture.
And it's making me crazy how I kept finding spiders quite similar to this one from Indonesia, yet all of them said "unknown specie"!
Great spotting!
