Monarch Butterfly caterpillar

Danaus plexippus

Description:

Pale caterpillar with dark and light bands

Habitat:

Eating milkweed in someone's garden

Notes:

In our neighborhood, folks with formal gardens often leave milkweed where ever it sprouts up. I think they love Monarchs and want to provide food for their caterpillars.
