Double-crested cormorant

Phalacrocorax auritus


I've seen cormorants flying, and I've seen cormorants perched, but I've never seen them up close or swimming. They are fast! And really good swimmers... I only had a second or two each time he came up for air. Also noticed for the first time their beautiful teal eyes. Very very cute bird.
