Tufted Titmouse

Baeolophus bicolor

Description:

I am not sure if this is the same bird or not, but I thought I saw more than one appear at once. They can be hard to photograph, especially when they are moving about in the branches of the tree. There are Northern Cardinals that sort of "hang out" around these little gray birds, and the two do not seem to be in any sort of territorial competition, in fact they seem to like each other, but maybe that is just my take on the situation ha ha!

Habitat:

Large Live Oak and Pecan Trees in my yard. They are usually in the tree but they took some time to visit the play structure today.

Notes:

Often seen with Northern Cardinal Female and Male.
