Haemorhous mexicanus
A finch or finch-like bird. Touch of orangish hue on an otherwise brown plumage. The blue sky and scarlet blooms almost obscure the poor little bird. So I cropped them out in the second photo.
On a tree just outside the boundary wall of my hotel in Guadalajara, Mexico. This old fashioned hotel had lovely grounds and I saw many birds here on my strolls before breakfast.
Pay attention to diet said Grandma House Finch to her grandsons: https://www.audubon.org/news/why-male-ho...
THANK YOU, Tukup. This explains so much. I am now going to post a series of these finches bathing. the orangish and yellow males with the more drab female.

Beautiful shot Sukanya. The link above explains the different colors of House Finch. Although the common name is Yellow House Finch, you will notice the scientific name is the same for all color phases.
there is more info here I also find it similar to the house finch, I can't find more than 17 species on inaturalist so maybe there is more on other sites that could be similar https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/199840-...
