Stone Bramble

Rubus saxatilis

Description:

Herbaceous plant, with leaves resembling those of wild strawberries; producing bright red small berries, in groups of three, (maybe more)

Habitat:

Montane area, edges of forest and close to pathway.

Notes:

First, thanks to Mauron for ID. It's been said that these berries are edible, raw or cooked, and have an agreeable acid flavor; and can be used in many ways (jams, compots, juice etc). Roots and leaves were also used in traditional medicine.

Sretno. Malo su kisele, ali dobre za kompota, ako imaš vremena da to praviš. :-)

Pozdrav.
