Black Broad-nosed weevils mating. The female is about 1 cm long, the males are a bit smaller. If disturbed they drop to the ground and play dead. Pictures 3 and 4 were taken on 9 October 2012. Pictures 5 and 6 on 4 August 2013. Family Curculionidae.
Semi-urban area on the outskirts of San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
