Description:

Small purple flowers with a darker blue stripe down each petal. Usually with 6 petals, but this one had 7 petals. Basal, grass-like leaves. Approximately 2.5 inches tall.

Habitat:

Growing along a nature trail beside a stream.

Notes:

This species was brought to the United States as an ornamental, but has escaped into the wild and become invasive.
