I suppose ID is difficult from a photo. I thought it might be a bull snake before I sent the photo to DNR. Thanks for reclassification.

I'm very surprised DNR told you this was a water snake, you can see the upturned rostral scale on the face that means it can only be a hognose. I also moved this to the reptiles category for you.
