These invertebrates are found in uncontaminated streams. These insects need high amounts of dissolved oxygen and low amounts of contamination. They are often used as bio indicator species.

Habitat:

Colder mountain streams with high oxygen levels.

Notes:

Found while probing the stream in the stream near the school with a class of students.
