Thank you guys, truth is that since the ansient name used for these insects was "Melolontha", I was certain that was the actual name...I will change the ID asap :)

Hello Despina! This is an amazingly beautiful beetle you have here. However, the scientific name you have, Scarabaeus melolontha, is not this species.
Scarabaeus melolontha is the European Cockchafer and is a brown beetle with a different body shape: http://www.linnean-online.org/view/insec...
I think what you have here is more likely Cetonia aurata - Rose Chafer Beetle. I found a couple of online references that should help:
