Mexican carpenter bee

Description:

This large bee was feeding of moringa flowers, in the evening, but many more of these bees come throughout the day. This bee has a purple sheen on the wings, which differs it to the black carpenter bee, which has a blackish blue sheen to its wing.

Habitat:

In my garden, Fort Worth, Texas.
