Pluvialis fulva

Description:

Medium sized shore bird with a dark face, white surrounding it and down the sides of the breast, and golden spots on brown back.

Habitat:

Grass lawn near the ocean on the windward size of Oahu.

Notes:

This is one of the surviving native birds of Hawaii.
