Introduced species semi-evergreen climbing perennial vine with edible fruit.The black or purple passionfruit (P. edulis) is a fast growing vine with showy medallion like flowers of purple and white with radiating filaments and produce large numbers of egg shaped black or purple acid/sweet fruit.
