Yes, looks a bit similar although the yellow part of the wings are much lesser than your spot from Mexico. I wonder if they are from the same family?

This one is so beautiful, there is one in Mexico that is surprisingly similar! http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/246.... I don't have an identification for the Mexican one.
