Description:

Large fly with mottled black and clear wings. Was not previously aware but they primarily feed on American carpenter bees and parasitizes them by laying eggs in or near the mouth of carpenter bee holes so their offspring can feast on young larvae.

Habitat:

Suburban area, columbus ga. Drawn to the porch light.
