Butterfly

Actinote surima surima

Description:

Oviposição e ovos registrados em campo. A oviposição iniciou 10h57min e terminou 12h12min.

Habitat:

Habitat: The site is an area of Campos de Curitiba that was transplanted from a place where an industry was installed. The measure was imposed by the environmental authority as a form of environmental compensation. It is, therefore, an area of fields transplanted into the space of Jardim Botânico de Curitiba. Plant species are being recorded.

Notes:

Hospedeira: Campovassouria cruciata . Hostess: Campovassouria cruciata. Caterpillars of the species have already been registered on the site consuming also Grazielia intermedia. Ecology: The species, like others, is being monitored on site, and have been recorded: several adult males, some females, mating rituals, mating, oviposition, eggs and larval stages. These observations show how environmental compensation measures are important for nature conservation in the face of advancing human populations over natural areas.

Welcome Maristela!! Wonderful and very interesting documentation!! Can you, please, add some more information about the habitat? And even more important: Can you make a follow-up with these eggs and later the caterpillars??!! It would be very important to have a complete documentation of life stage. Extremely rare in Actinote! Thanks in advance!
