Eastern Gray Squirrel

Sciurus carolinensis

Description:

Genus: Sciurus. Female. A tree squirrel. Mostly gray fur with brown. White underside. Long bushy tail. Length of head and body: 23-30 cm (9-12 inches), Tail: 19-25 cm (7.5 - 9.8 inches). Weight: 400 - 600 g (14-21 oz.)

Habitat:

Naturally found in woodlands but also lawns and parks (this one at a public park in the middle of a small country town.) Native mostly to eastern and mid-west USA and southern portions of eastern Canada.
