Stinging Netttle

Urtica sp.

Description:

Very large-leaved stinging nettles.

Habitat:

Shady desert canyon near running desert spring.

Notes:

I don't know why exactly but I always get a kick out of finding wild nettles or any wild edibles for that matter. These stinging nettles in particular had very large leaves.
