Bark Jumper

Description:

A Jumping Spider of the Phaeacius genus. Seems like a female, 6.5mm in length. This genus of spiders are adapted to be specialized in living on tree barks. Their greyish brownish colors help them to camouflage on the surface of tree trunks.

Habitat:

On a tree trunk along the canopy walk bridge in Bukit Gemuk (Fat Hill), Tawau, Sabah.
