Bombycilla cedrorum
The cedar waxwing eats berries and sugary fruit year-round, including juniper berries and ivy berries, with insects becoming an important part of the diet in the breeding season. Its fondness for the small cones of the Eastern Red cedar (a kind of juniper) gave this bird its common name.

Beautiful! One of my favorite birds. You got such gorgeous photos of them. When they come through my yard, it's always overcast.
Thank you, gatorfellows, Christy and Yuko. I usually see them in trees, so this was a nice change.
The bird in the photo #6 looks like he's wearing sunglasses!
Beautiful series!!
I love your photo. Fist four were in my yard yesterday. There was a lone Bluebird and a few Robins with them. It was late afternoon, and did not get good photos, but I am excited to see they have made it to Texas. Soon all may berries will be gone.
