Description:

Iguanas about 1 meter long with striped tails wandering about the beach and in the trees at the upper edge of the beach. They were surprisingly hard to see among the tree roots and branches.

Habitat:

Magen's Beach, St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands.

Thank you S Frazier for the identification. It was different in size and color from the one in Chiapas, Mexico (http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/154...) so I thought it might be a different species. This species certainly has a lot of variation.
