Tree ferns in Indonesia are massive in comparison to these. I believe they were being cultivated to place back in the rainforest nearby and around the scout camp which boarders the rainforest in Siolangit, Sumatra.
Hi travellingchez. Spottings on Project Noah really should be about wildlife - life in it's natural location. These do not really qualify. Also I am curious how they get so big in the pots if they are young? Do they come from the local forests?

I don't have one I'm afraid. I'll have to take a picture of one next time i see one I'm out and about. http://www.forestferns.co.uk/tree-ferns/...
Nice work. A leading shot of them planted in the forest would make a nice spotting. Thanks.
Should add the scout camp does lots of work with a local conservation centre in the same village.
