You're Welcome Malcolm. No definitely not a black girdled lizard. I think that is an artifact from the contributor's own suggestion on ISpot. The data says "Likely ID" Pseudocordylus microlepidotus subsp. fasciatus. with location "Table Mountain (Nature Reserve)". That's why I included it. I was not comfortable picking a subspecies :-)

Thanks Scott, I agree with Crag Lizard, but not sure about the second link, it shows the same species in the picture but calls it a Black Girdled Lizard which it definitely is not! It's likely to be the Cape Crag Lizard due to the location being the Cape, the Karoo is some way to the north-east, so I suspect they are localized sub-species.
