We call it "coleus blumei" in my country, and coleus (Solenostemon ) is the correct ID.

It's a Coleus.

Cubans, know it as "Manto" (Shroud) I believe a reference to the purple shroud placed on Jesus before the crucifixion. Many (like my grandma) think it brings bad luck. She would always dig them up when my mom would plant them. Others think it brings bad luck if it is the house but not in the garden.
