Indian Green lynx spider

Peucetia viridana

This spider has light and bright green colour body. The thorax is greenish and bears eyes which clothed in white apressed hairs and thorax bears 4 pair of appendages and the appendages have black dots and spines which are scattered all the appendages. The abdomen is v shaped with pencil ending and has yellow Chevron shaped straps.

It was spotted in the maize field, camouflaging the leaf colour.

It was observed ( during my encounter with this spider ) that when it jumps from one leaf to another it trails silk, we can spot its new location in the nearby vegetation ( plants) just by following that trail !
