Doubleday's Skipper -? female

Description:

This is a dark skipper and like so many others has pale markings on the upper surface of the fore wings. The underside of this skipper was reddish brown with a dark band and whitish submarginal areas.

Habitat:

Spotted in a nature reserve.

Notes:

Another one that would not open its wings ! This could be a female as they are said to have a reddish brown under-surface to the wings. Another skipper that I need to pohtograph and documment. http://lifeunseen.com/index2_item_5138.p... Family: Hesperiidae
