Hemaris diffinis
The thorax is olive-golden in color and the abdomen is black dorsally with some variable amounts of yellow on the last 1-2 segments. Snowberry Clearwings are the only eastern species to exhibit blue abdominal tufts on the first black segment in some freshly emerged specimens. Wings are mostly clear with reddish brown borders and dark scales along the veins.
Spotted on the edge of a meadow.
